These are your fellow professionals who are an important pipeline for leads, referrals and new business. For example, if you're a financial planner your power partners would be CPAs, bankers, estate attorneys, and tax attorneys. How do you reach them and stay top of mind? Some strategies include: • Networking in the same organizations • Using social media—especially LinkedIn • Connecting through your newsletter Teaming up: a win-win In addition to referring business to each other, teaming up with your power partners to promote your combined expertise can result in more robust marketing activities and a win-win for both of you. At the same time, you’re providing more value to your target clients. Some strategies: • Provide guest blog posts • Jointly host panels, workshops and seminars • Create joint marketing materials • Link to each other’s websites Leveraging relationships Strong power partnerships are an invaluable way to grow your business.
